Upload photos January 24th – 31st, until 11:59 p.m. Winner will be chosen February 1st. Must be 18+ years to enter. One entry per person. Must be active duty, retiree, dependent, veteran or DoD civilian to enter. Pictures must be appropriate. Pictures will be used at the discretion of Fort Gordon MWR Marketing and on their social media and website platforms.

To Kick it Off...

Day 1 – Set Your Goal
New Year’s night was fun, but let’s get down to business. Create a vision board of healthy habits you’d like to develop. It doesn’t have to be fancy. Grab a sheet of paper and write a one-time goal, monthly goals, or overall goals for the year. If reading 2 books a month is a goal, pick out 2 books for the month of January that you’ve been yearning to read!

Day 2 – Prep Day
Sometimes there will be items you need to get started on your goals. Maybe you need to purchase your 1st ten-pound dumbbell for exercise. Or you set a goal to cook three meals per week, this would be the perfect time to gather the materials for your goal.

In preparation of the Transformation Tuesday Contest taking place February 1st, our FYI Team has developed a heathy initiative calendar to help you mentally, emotionally and physically! Although this calendar is geared more toward the physical aspect, it’s a great example of how to create a path to set goals or create healthy habits.

Examples of Categories
  • Glow Up
    Glow up is a term used for going through puberty focusing on the improvement of physical appearance, individual style, overall attractiveness and/or maturity. (i.e. baby picture to adult, glasses as a kid to contacts, PVT to MSG, etc.)
  • Home Transformation
    Transformation of a space used regularly. (i.e. home office space, kitchen, bathroom, shed, kids school space, etc.)
  • Body Transformation
    Transformation of the body based upon a goal. (i.e. Skinny to muscular, weight loss, no tattoos to a tattoo, etc.)
  • Healthy Eating/Living
    Shows transformation of personal diet and/or lifestyle. (i.e. food consumed: fried chicken to baked chicken, couch potato to walking, learning to meditate, learning a new language, etc.)
