The Fort Gordon Middle School and Teen (MST) program is committed to providing quality programming for youth in grades 6-12. MST strives to provide the challenges, experiences and support to help teens develop to their fullest potential.

Computer/WiFi access available.

Free USDA approved snacks offered daily.

 

Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.           ​​​​

Open Recreation: 1 to 6 p.m. (Free)

​​​​​Camps: Monday to Friday, 5:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Registration Required
(Fee based on total family income)

Transportation provided from select schools to MST: Must have at least four youth attending to consider transportation route.


The youth development programs exist to promote positive, healthy development of teens through the following 4 service areas:

Life Skills, Citizenship and Leadership Opportunities
  • Diplomas 2 Degrees
    1st and 3rd Tuesday, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
    A college readiness program, guides Club members as they work toward high school graduation and prepare for post-secondary education and career success.
  • Smart Girls – Skills, Mastery and Resilience Training, 1st and 3rd Tuesday, 3 to 4 p.m.
    Club girls explore their own and societal attitudes and values as they build skills for eating right, staying physically fit, getting good health care and developing positive relationships with peers and adults.
  • Torch Club – A Leadership and Service Club for our Future Leaders
    1st and 3rd Thursday, 3 to 4 p.m.

    Torch Club is a "club within the Club" – helping to meet the special character-development needs of younger adolescents. They work together to implement projects in the 4 focus areas:
    • service to Club and community
    • education
    • health and fitness
    • social recreation
  • Keystone – The Ultimate Teen Program
    1st and 3rd Thursday, 4 to 5 p.m.

    Keystone Clubs provide leadership development opportunities for young people ages 14 to 18. Youth participate in activities in three focus areas:
    • academic success
    • career preparation
    • community service
  • Career Launch – Jump Start Your Future Goals
    2nd and 4th Thursday, 3:15 to 4:15 p.m.

    Career Launch encourages Club members ages 13 to 18 to assess their skills and interests, explore careers, make sound educational decisions and prepare to join our nation's work force.

    4-H clubs include the following:

Art, Leisure and Recreation Activities
  • Fine Art
    • Drama, photography, painting, drawing, sewing, jewelry making and much more 
    • "Discover, Develop and Deploy" offers endless possibilities.
    • Encourages artistic expression among Club members through drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, mixed media and sculpture.

Mentoring, Intervention and Support Services
  • Power Hour – Daily from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
    "Making Minutes Count" Study Groups
    Provides homework help, tutoring and high-yield learning activities and, encouraging members to become self-directed learners.
  • Smart Girls – 1st and 3rd Tuesday, 3 to 4 p.m.

    "Let’s Talk About it" Self-Discovery
    Passport to Manhood represents a targeted effort to engage young boys in discussions and activities that reinforce character, leadership and positive behavior.
  • Cyber Safety – Every Monday from 4 to 5 p.m.
    "Stay Smart Online" Think Before you Click
    Cyber Safety is a cyberbullying awareness and prevention program, providing youth with the knowledge and skills necessary to create and promote a civil and safe online culture.  
  • STEM Club – 2nd and 4th Monday, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
    "Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics"
    DIY STEM is a hands-on, activity-based STEM curriculum which connects youth to science themes they encounter regularly. Special attention is paid to connections of theory and application and the common interactions members have with these scientific principles. DIY STEM currently includes 4 modules:
    • Energy and Electricity
    • Engineering Design
    • Food Chemistry
    • Science of Sports
Sports, Fitness and Health Options
  • Triple Play – A Game Plan for Mind, Body and Soul
    Daily, 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.

    Triple Play is a dynamic wellness program that demonstrates how eating right, keeping fit and forming positive relationships add up to a healthy lifestyle.
  • Healthy Habits – Habits That Will Last a Lifetime
    1st and 3rd Monday, 3:15 to 4:15 p.m.

    Healthy Habits emphasizes good nutrition, regular physical activity and improved overall well-being.
