Tactical Advantage Sportsman's Complex and the Fort Gordon Sportsman's Club proudly present the 2019 Fort Gordon Turkey Shoot! Open to the public. AIT students are encouraged to participate.
What is a turkey shoot you may ask?
A "turkey shoot" is a fun alternative to the machine gun shoot where, frozen turkeys will be awarded as prizes. The shoot is most commonly held using shotguns aimed at paper targets about 25 - 35 yards away. Though they used to use live turkeys, we will definitely be using paper targets for this event. The winner is chosen according to which target has a shot closest to its center crossmark. That removes almost all luck from the contest and allows every shooter an equal chance.
