Dare-To-Tri Triathlon

#
Note: This event has already passed.

Come enjoy a race with low traffic on Fort Gordon that helps support our military! The Dare-To-Tri Triathlon consist of a 300 meter pool swim, 16K bike ride, and 5K run that takes place completely on Fort Gordon. The race starts at 9am.

Swim:
The swim is a 300 meter pool swim at the Fort Gordon Indoor 50m Pool. Participants start at one side of the pool and snake their way up and down each lane as they work towards the other side of the pool.

Bike:
The bike course is a 16K loop with a small lollipop. The course is rolling to hilly and takes place completely on the Fort Gordon installation. The roads are open to traffic – but traffic is usually fairly light.

Run:
The 5K run course is a single loop, almost completely on the 3 mile running trail. The course is flat.

COVID Safety Information:

Bikes will be limited to 3 bikes per rack.

We ask that athletes arrive on site body marked or bring a marker to mark yourself once you arrive.

Athletes will be asked to wear disposable mask until they reach the starting mat. They will be able to throw the mask in the trash at the mat.

Athletes will be lined up outside and brought in as the start area allows for social distancing.

Additional time will be given between swimmers.

Athletes will be given a mask upon finishing and required to wear it for the awards ceremony.

Athletes will need to remove their own timing chips from their ankles at the finish line and drop them into a wash bucket. We'll take it from there.

Registration Information

Register at www.fortgordonrunseries.com

You must register by March 20th!

During the registration process, please be as accurate as possible with your 100 meter swim time. To give you an idea of times: an excellent swimmer is around 1min/100 meters and the average triathlete is close to 2min/100 meters. Beginners and less experienced swimmers are often much slower. Listing an accurate time is very important this year.

We ask that you bring the QR code that you are emailed after registration to speed up packet pick up and keep it contact free.

You are required to wear a mask for packet pick up at the aquatic center on base.

We ask that you maintain 6' of social distancing in line to pick up your bib.

No onsite registration will be available, but registration will remain open online until 30 minutes prior to the start on race day. Please use your phone or home computer.

Please call +1 (706)791-1142 with any questions/concerns.
