Knitting Circle

#

Knitting is an activity that has been used as therapy for soldiers wounded in battle, for those with arthritis, and Alzheimer's.

Come find out what all the fuss is about! Knitting Circle welcomes knitters of all levels. Basic instruction is given. Adults only please. The group includes every skill level, from brand new knitters to experienced, artisan crafters. They also welcome those who love crochet, needle point, and the like to join them. Learn from others, exchange ideas, and make new friends. From 20-something soldiers and spouses, to retirees, the Knitting Circle provides a comforting place to knit your bit.

Benefits of knitting include:

  • relieves depression
  • reduces anxiety
  • builds self-esteem
  • may reduce or postpone dementia
  • reduce irritability and restlessness
