Lifeguard Courses: April 5th-9th, April 19th- 23rd, and May 10th-14th. All classes run Monday - Friday.
American Red Cross is hosting Lifeguard Classes at the Indoor Pool. Students must be 15 years of age or older as well as pass the prerequisites.
The prerequisite includes: a 500 meter swim, treading water, and a timed brick test.
Student must complete the online work by the last day of class and give instructor the completion certificate before for final written exam and final in water skills scenarios. Student must be able to attend every class session for the week. Student must pass the final written exam with an 80% or higher, and pass in-water skills scenarios. The minimum requirement for a class is at least 4 students. If class size is not met, students will be placed in the following week.
Cost for the course is $200. (Cost includes link for online work - approx. 7 hours, pocket mask, certificate in ARC Lifeguarding, CPR, AED, and First Aid).
