Landmarks Art Exhibit

Enjoy the Landmarks Art Exhibit from May 1- 20 at Augusta & Co. The exhibit features art from the 2022 senior class of the Georgia School of Innovation and the Classics presents "Landmarks" which depicts iconic Augusta River Region structures, buildings and more. This event is FREE and open to the public.

Chris Cagle LIVE

Enjoy Chris Cagle LIVE on May 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Miller Theater. Cagle made his debut on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts with “My Love Goes On And On.” Tickets are $29 -$49.

Come celebrate the legacy of Mr. James Brown on his birthday weekend at the James Brown Birthday Get Down 2022 on May 7 from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the Augusta Common. Enjoy LIVE music by FUNK YOU & FRIENDS, J.A.M.P. (James Brown Academy Musik Pupils), THE BROWNSTOWN GRITTY and guest DJs. Food trucks, food vendors, drinks including a Beer Garden, art demos & family friendly activities will also be available. Admission is FREE!

GreenJackets Baseball is Back! 

Nothing says Spring like Baseball. Augusta’s home team is back. Enjoy the GreenJackets at home May 10 -14 at SRP Park as they take on the Columbia Fireflies (see schedule). This family-friendly activity has something for everyone. Enjoy great food, a kids zone, giveaways and more. Tickets are $10 - $ 25.

Paddle with Two Dudes - Sunrise Tour 

Spring means warmer temperatures, which is a great time for kayaking. Enjoy the Sunrise Tour provided by Two Dudes and a Boat on May 14 and any other weekend at 7:00 a.m. This 2.5 hour guided kayaking tour starts off easy by paddling with the river’s current into the morning sunrise.

Moonlight Music Cruise 

Pack a picnic and enjoy a relaxing evening on the Augusta Canal for the Moonlight Music Cruise featuring Steve Dexter on May 20 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $27 for adults and $25 for seniors 60+, military and students.

Kroc to Lock Bike Ride 

Kick off National Bike to Work Week with the Kroc to Lock Bike Ride on May 15 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) - 4:00 p.m. The 10 mile ride will start at Kroc Augusta, proceed up the Augusta Canal Towpath to the Headgates (or turn around anywhere along the way) and then head back to the green space at the Kroc for a post-ride picnic! Tickets are $10 - $25.

Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience

Experience Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience from May 24 - June 26 at James Brown Arena. Become completely immersed in more than 300 of the greatest works of post-Impressionist artist Vincent Van Gogh. This world-renowned art experience will be open for a limited time. Tickets are from $21.99 -$36.99 can be purchased at vangoghaugusta.com. The Box Office at James Brown Arena will NOT be selling tickets to this exhibit.

Summer: The Donna Summer Musical 

Enjoy an evening dedicated to the incomparable life of Donna Summer—the undisputed Queen of Disco on May 31 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bell Auditorium. Summer: The Donna Summer Musical features more than 20 of Summer’s classic hits and electric dancing, all in tribute to the voice of a generation. Tickets are $43.00 - $52.25.

Saturday Market at the River 

Swing by the Saturday Market at the River where artists and craftspeople line the 8th Street entrance to the Riverwalk every Saturday in downtown Augusta from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. offering unique, handmade wares and mix in with local chefs and tastemakers selling ethnic fare, locally roasted coffee, fresh baked goods and regional produce. 

South Augusta Farmers Market

Experience fun for the entire family at the South Augusta Farmers Market from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. The market’s top priority is providing access to fresh, healthy food for the neighborhood and surrounding area. Also enjoy urban ballroom dance demos, a petting zoo and apiary, and more. 

Spring Market at the Marina

Swing by the Spring Market at the Marina on Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the 5th Street Marina. Vendors will have jewelry, candles to everything in between. Eat at the Riverside Cafe food truck and enjoy entertainment by Jo Nash and her Jazz on select Sundays.

The weather will be just right to enjoy the Augusta Sculpture Trail now until 2023. The trail features 10 beautiful sculptures by nationally renowned artists on display in downtown Augusta. Bring the family or friends to participate in the Augusta Sculpture Trail-Scavenger Hunt to earn badges anytime day or night.
