Your dedication as a volunteer is essential to the strength and resilience of our community. The demand for volunteers has not decreased, and we want to ensure every hour you contribute is recognized. Many of our dedicated volunteers are not yet registered as statutory volunteers, which means the valuable time you contribute to our community isn’t being formally credited.

How to Register
Per regulation AR 608-1 (para. 5-9n), all volunteers are required to use VMIS in order to volunteer with Fort Gordon. Getting started is simple:
1. Register Online: Create your profile in the Volunteer Management System (VMIS) through the Army Family Web Portal (AFWP) at https://www.armyfamilywebportal.com.
2. Complete the Paperwork: Fill out and sign a DD Form 2793 (Volunteer Agreement) and keep it on file.
3. Attend Orientation: Sign up for an ACS Volunteer Orientation before you begin working in an approved volunteer position.
