Charter Schools (SAIL & GSIC) are tuition-free public charter schools open to any student residing in the state of Georgia, though preference is given to local county residents.

Richmond County Magnet Schools (Davidson, AR Johnson, RCTCM, CT Walker) are highly competitive public schools that require a formal application process. Selection is based on academic criteria, auditions (for Davidson Fine Arts), test scores, and sometimes interviews.
