Building a Positive Sports Experience for All
At Youth Sports & Fitness, we believe that sports should be fun, safe, and rewarding for every child. To create a positive experience, we ask all parents, players, and coaches to follow our sportsmanship guidelines and participation rules.

Sportsmanship Requirements
All parents and guardians must complete Sportsmanship Training before registering their child for Youth Sports. This ensures everyone understands the values of respect, teamwork, and fair play.
- Pledge to promote positivity in youth sports and act as a role model to their child, as well as other participants and sports parents they meet.
- Serve as an advocate for good sportsmanship and to keep fun and learning at the center of the youth sports experience.
- Try to improve upon their youth sports knowledge so that they can be an informative leader in the youth sports community.
Additional resources can be found at the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) website. Registration with NAYS is optional for parents/guardians.
Parent Code of Conduct
As a parent or guardian, you play a big role in your child's sports experience. We ask all parents to
Encourage good sportsmanship by being positive and respectful
Support the coach and avoid coaching from the sidelines
Let kids play and have fun – with skill development, not winning, as the goal
Respect referees and officials, rather than arguing with them
Follow all game-day rules and arrival times
Review the Parent Code of Conduct
Player Expectations
All players are expected to
- Give their best effort at every practice and game
- Show respect to teammates, coaches, referees, and opponents
- Follow the rules and listen to their coaches
- Demonstrate good sportsmanship, win or lose
- Review the Player Code of Ethics
