Georgia Hunter Education Courses
Outdoor Recreation and the Fort Gordon Sportsman’s Club host several hunts and the Georgia Hunter Hunter Education class each year. Courses are held on the first floor auditorium of Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon. Hunters wishing to hunt on Fort Gordon must complete both nights of this course. The course is free of charge and open to the public. Pre-registration is recommended at www.georgiawildlife.com. All hunting is subject to Post regulations – firearm deer hunting is limited to shotguns with slugs only or primitive weapons. Hunters not associated with the military installation may apply for permits for all species by registering in the Quota Hunt at www.georgiawildlife.com between 1 May through 15 May. You must be 16 years old to apply. Permits are required to hunt. Access may be restricted due to training requirements. All hunters must possess a hunter safety certificate.
